Kite Bros. is a name well known and respected in DeRidder, Louisiana and throughout the surrounding states.  From the life like Indian figure seated in the front customer reception area, to the relaxing coffee bar and comfortable waiting area, it's obvious that Kite Bros. places a special emphasis on customer satisfaction.  It began in October 1961 when Wayne and Robert Kite opened for business on North Pine Street in DeRidder.  The business was used cars and was first named, appropriately enough, Kite Bros. Used Cars.  As the business expanded in its services and location the name was shortened simply to Kite Bros. In 1969, sensing the coming change in the economy and housing market, Kite Bros. expanded into the mobile home business.

In 1972, Wayne Kite felt a calling to the gospel ministry and sold his interest in the business to Robert and followed his calling.

The decade of the 70's brought great changes in vacation habits.  Americans turned to the great outdoors in their leisure time.  Recreational vehicles, or RV's, were seen in ever-growing numbers at vacation spots all over the land.

Their versatility made them an important year round vacation accommodation.  Kite Bros. saw these changes in vacation habits as an opportunity to strengthen their organization and to contribute to the economy of the area.

As an additional service to their customers, Kite Bros. offers conventional as well as "in house" financing on automobiles and RV's.  Additionally, Conventional and FHA financing is also avalable on mobile homes.  Kite Bros. also offers real estate, commercial, and personal in-house loans.

From the beginning, Kite Bros. established a policy of charging a fair price for the product sold, and then standing behind that product with solid service.  Through the years this policy has remained unchanged.  This full line facility features delivery and set-up by Kite's own factory trained employees.  The modern service department and highly skilled personnel are indicative of the efforts to provide exceptional cusomer service.
